After the suspect, who spent several years on the foreign battlefields of Syria and Iraq within the structures of the so-called “ISIL”, had been extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, he was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal deadline, where he was interrogated, after which his ordering into custody was proposed.
According to the collected evidence, suspect Muhamed Hasić (1990) lived in the territory of Syria and Iraq for several years within the structure declared a terrorist organisation by the UN Security Council.
After the defeat of the so-called “ISIL”, the mentioned suspect was hiding for a long time in the territory of the Republic of Turkey, where, thanks to the work of the prosecutor’s office and partner institutions and agencies, he was located, identified and then extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and its Section for Terrorism are continuing the prosecution of the suspect. We would like to thank all partner institutions and agencies in BiH and abroad for providing support in the work in this case.
