A prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment against Zvonko Bunoza, nicknamed ‘Drveni’ /Woody/, born in 1993 in Split, Republic of Croatia, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
The defendant is charged with having illegally transported four migrants from the territory of Kosovo across the state border, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Croatia, in order to acquire unlawful property gain for the agreed amount.
According to the indictment, on 17 March of last year, after reaching a prior agreement, he took four persons from the territory of Kosovo, brought them to the immediate vicinity of the state border between BiH and the Republic of Croatia in Rastok polje, Ljubuški municipality, and illegally transported them across the state border at the place in which crossing is not allowed and which does not represent a marked border crossing.
The defendant was discovered in a nearby forest on the borderline on his return to Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which he was detained by the police of the Republic of Croatia.
The defendant is charged with having committed the criminal offence of Smuggling of persons in violation of Article 189 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
