XXX STRATEGIC FORUM OF CHIEF PROSECUTORS AND DIRECTORS OF POLICE AGENCIES HELD IN THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

The most important issues of prosecutorial-police cooperation were discussed at the meeting on strategic level, as well as activities related to the segment of the fight against organized crime and corruption.

The topic of today’s meeting of the Strategic Forum was the review of the results of measures and activities undertaken in the prosecution of cases of corruption and organized crime, focusing on cases with high-level perpetrators.

The parties also discussed the findings from the Bosnia and Herzegovina Report 2023 and the process of conducting investigations, proving and prosecuting criminal offenses that can be linked to hate speech on the Internet.

The meetings of the Strategic Forum are held with the support of the Department Promoting the Efficiency and Quality of Work in Prosecutor’s Offices and the project "Strengthening Prosecutorial Capacities in the Criminal Justice System" of the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting participants discuss the most important issues concerning cooperation between police agencies and prosecutor’s offices at all levels, detecting, documenting and prosecuting criminal offenses of organized crime and corruption in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended by heads, deputy heads and officials of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the Republic Prosecutor’s Office of RS, the Prosecutor’s Office of the FBiH, the Prosecutor’s Office of Brčko District of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, the RS MoI, the Federation BiH Police Department and the Police of Brčko District of BiH, as well as representatives of the HJPC BiH.
