The prosecutor of the Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina working on the case sent a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order the following suspect into custody:
- Radoica Vuković, born in 1976 in Plužine, citizen of the Republic of Montenegro.
The custody measure was proposed for the reasons described in Article 132 (1) (a) and (c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, because of the risk of flight of the suspect, who would become inaccessible to the judicial authorities if he leaves Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the risk that, if he remains at large, he could to commit the criminal offence again or complete the attempted one.
The suspect is under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for the criminal offence of organised crime in conjunction with the criminal offences of illicit trade in excise goods, smuggling and unauthorised storage of goods set out in the Criminal Code of BiH, and he is suspected that acting as a member of an organised group, he was involved in smuggling, mainly from the territory of Montenegro to BiH, and further distribution of tobacco products of large quantities of cigarettes not marked with excise stamps as prescribed by the tax legislation of BiH, on the illegal market in BiH.
A police search was in force for the suspect, and on his entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina, after he was controlled by members of the Border Police of BiH at the Hum border crossing point, he was apprehended and handed over to the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior, which handed him over to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
