On orders of the prosecutor in charge and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina coordinated the exhumation process on unmarked plots at the site of the Lukavac City Graveyard.
Almost complete remains of two persons were found at the site, which were sent for further forensic-medical processing and identification of the missing persons through DNA analysis.
According to preliminary available data and information, these are the persons of Serbian ethnicity that went missing in the mentioned area.
The exhumation process was attended by a forensic pathologist, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, requires workers and machinery, as well as police officers of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior, who secured the location and provided forensic technical support in the exhumation process.
