The accused pleaded guilty to having smuggled 15 migrants, citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq and Cuba, according to a prior agreement with a person known to him, for a monetary compensation of EUR 50 per person and in order to acquire unlawful material gain. The aforementioned migrants had previously crossed the border illegally and entered Bosnia and Herzegovina from the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The said smuggling of persons was carried out on 22 February 2022, in a tin boat across the Drina River, and this accused person was deprived of liberty by the police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The police officers were on that occasion carrying out the apprehension of a perpetrator of criminal offenses and they were tasked with the apprehension of the accused Filipović, and this accused then attacked the official persons by running into one of them with a vehicle and inflicting physical injuries on him.

Having considered the Plea Agreement, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the Plea Agreement and imposed the aforementioned sentence on this accused person.
