The suspect Nedžad Ćehić, born in 1972 in Bosanska Krupa, is included in the investigation of the Special Department for War Crimes, which refers to the murder of at least twenty-five (25) captured members of the Republika Srpska Army, who were captured in the Bosanska Krupa region, in 1995.

In this case of Senad Bužimkić et al., which resulted in an Indictment against 7 persons, the investigation also included the suspect Ćehić, who was unavailable to the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was subject of our joint efforts with partner police and judicial institutions into finding and locating him.

The persons accused in the aforementioned case are charged with acting contrary to the Geneva Conventions relative to the Protection of Prisoners of War, during the past war, while they were commanders and members of the 511th  Glorious Mountain Brigade of the RBiH Army, respectively.

The Indictment alleges that, following the capture of at least 25 members of the Republika Srpska Army at the locations in the Municipality of Bosanska Krupa, four of those prisoners were killed immediately, whereas others were taken into captivity, after which they were taken away, tortured and abused, and some of those prisoners were shot and killed, while other prisoners were beaten to death with cold weapons and various objects.
