MEETING OF CHIEF PROSECUTORS OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND SLOVENIA HELD IN LJUBLJANA

The two prosecutors discussed international cooperation between the two prosecutor’s offices, through instruments of Mutual Legal Assistance, as well as participation in joint operations under the auspices of EUROJUST, and cases related to criminal offenses committed  in as well as suspects and accused perpetrators connected with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, among other things, acts in cases of organized crime, related to the smuggling of narcotic drugs, illicit trafficking in weapons, as well as smuggling of illegal migrants, in which significant cooperation was achieved with the partner institutions of Slovenia.

About two months ago, a joint operation was carried out by a joint investigation team (JIT) with the support of the EUROJUST, related to criminal offenses of financial crime, committed by citizens of Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the territory of these two countries.
The prosecutors agreed that cooperation in the process of strengthening the rule of law will continue in the future.
