A meeting was held at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić, together with his associates, met with the US Government’s Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption, Mr. Richard Nephew and his deputy, Mr. Brendan Boundy.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement at the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The topics of the meeting related to the efforts and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and law enforcement agencies in the fight against corruption, as well as international cooperation in the fight against corruption and serious crimes.
Chief Prosecutor Kajganić informed the officials about the work of the Anti-Corruption Section in the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the efforts and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office, in the fight against high level corruption, which are continuously carried out in cooperation with partner institutions and law enforcement agencies. He also expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the US for the assistance and support in cases fighting corruption and organized crime, cases with evidence from Sky and Anom applications, as well as in all other cases in which cooperation is achieved through mutual legal assistance with partner institutions and agencies of the United States of America.
U.S. Officials, as well as INL representatives at the US Embassy in Sarajevo, emphasized their commitment to continue providing support and assistance to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and partner law enforcement agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
