Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Milanko Kajganić, with his deputy and associate, met with the delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by the newly appointed minister Davor Bunoza.
The central topics of the meeting were related to the operational cooperation of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Justice, as two institutions operating at the judicial level of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Chief Prosecutor Kajganić emphasized the importance of ongoing activities related to the work on the agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and EUROJUST - the EU agency for criminal justice cooperation.
These activities, in which a Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office - the contact point for cooperation with this international agency, is involved, are considered a very important step in strengthening cooperation in the fight against international crime and enabling the institutions of BiH to use the instruments of international cooperation in their full capacity.They also discussed cooperation in the area of processing war crimes cases, the use of the Institute of Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) and other important issues.
Minister Bunoza emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina to strengthen the capacity of the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to provide support in strengthening international cooperation.
