Acting in a zero-tolerance attitude towards the occurrences of corrupt activities, in an operation ordered by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect Vrabac Mustafa (1985), an employee of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, was deprived of liberty. The activities were carried out by police officers of the Ministry of Interior of the RS and the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.
The suspect is under investigation for having, in the past period, contacted a person and sought for himself an illegal financial benefit in the amount of Euro 10,000 in order to, as an official and employee of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, try to influence and obtain a more favorable status for the alleged suspect.
The carried out corrupt activities were documented and the suspect deprived of liberty by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the operation of the prosecutor’s office and police agencies for the criminal offense of Accepting reward or other form of benefit for trading in influence under Article 219 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The suspect will be handed over to the assigned prosecutor within the legal deadline, who will question the suspect and then make a decision on further activities.
The Chief Prosecutor ordered the suspension and removal of the suspect from the offices of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office.
The BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the Chief Prosecutor call upon all citizens to report any corrupt and illegal behavior, especially if the perpetrators of those activities are employees of law enforcement institutions and agencies, so that illegal behavior can be prosecuted with the aim of removing corrupt employees from all institutions, especially law enforcement agencies.
