INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIMES IN THE AREA OF HRASNICA

 The accused is charged with having, during the war and armed conflict, as a member of the 1st Corps of the RBiH Army, acted contrary to the rules of international humanitarian law, violating the provisions of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons.

He is accused with having , in his capacity of a security officer of the 4th Motorized Brigade of the RBiH Army, in detention facilities in the area of Hrasnica, where Ethnic Serb civilians from the area of Hrasnica, Butmir and Sokolović Kolonija were illegally imprisoned, among whom were women, as well as a minor girl, personally participated in torture in humiliating ways, severe forms of abuse and beatings, as well as inflicting permanent physical and psychological injuries on nine victims who still suffer from the consequences of abuse today. The accused is charged with a criminal offense War Crime against the Civilian Population under Article 142 of the Criminal Code of the SFRY.

 

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
