PROSECUTOR ON CALL DUTY COORDINATED ACTIVITIES ON SEIZURE OF LARGE QUANTITY OF SMUGGLED MOBILE TELEPHONES

An on call duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH coordinated the activities after being contacted by members of the Border Police of BiH, regarding the seizure of a large quantity of mobile telephones without documentation on the origin of the goods, found during the control of vehicles at the entrance to BiH at the IBC - Orašje, and gave instructions to the police officers for documenting this criminal offense.

Mobile telephones were temporarily seized pursuant to the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a report on committed criminal offense will be submitted against the perpetrator for the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The market value of smuggled mobile telephones is estimated at more than BAM 20,000.
