The accused Dragoja Zmijanjac (1951), who is serving a prison sentence, concluded plea agreement pursuant to which he was sentenced to a prison sentence of 3 (three) months by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He was declared guilty of the continued criminal offense of Attack against Official Persons on Tasks of Security, Detection and Apprehension of Perpetrators of Criminal Offences under Article 241b Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 54, paragraph 2 of the same Code for which he was charged by the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused pleaded guilty to the fact that, as a convicted person serving a prison sentence for war crimes of killings committed in the area of Prijedor, in the Institution for the Execution of Criminal/Penal Sanctions, Detention and Other Measures in BiH in East Ilidža, he had on two occasions made threats to an institution official during performance of official duties.After returning from out of institution benefits, during the control and inspection upon entering the facility, the accused, in an intoxicated state, threatened the employees of the institution with death, emphasizing that he was already serving a sentence for killings, and he repeated those threats and their severity later during the questioning. Having considered of the agreement the Court accepted it and the defendant was sentenced to the above sentence.
