INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ATTACK ON OFFICIAL PERSON OF IECS BIH WHILE PERFORMING OFFICIAL DUTIES
07.10.2022. 12:19A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an indictment against the accused Dragoje ZMIJANJAC AKA "Zmicko", born in 1951 in the municipality of Prijedor, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, currently serving a prison sentence.
The accused is charged with having, as a convicted person serving a prison sentence for war crimes of killings committed in the area of Prijedor in the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, Detention and Other Measures in BiH in East Ilidža, on two occasions sent threats to the institution’s officer, while performing official duty. After returning from activities outside of institutional facilities, during the control and search upon entering the facility, in a heavily intoxicated state, the accused threatened the employees of the institution with death, pointing out that he was already serving a sentence for killings, and he repeated those threats and their severity later during the questioning.
The accused is charged with making serious threats to attack an official in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby committing the continued criminal offense of Attack against Official Persons on Tasks of Security, Detection and Apprehension of Perpetrators of Criminal Offences under Article 241b Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 54, paragraph 2 of the same Code.The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
