After questioning the suspect, the Assigned Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a motion for remand in custody to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the suspect Adi Nukić, born in 1990 in Sarajevo, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

CUSTODY MOTION FOR A SUSPECTED MEMBER OF AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZED CRIME GROUP

The remand in custody was proposed due to risk of suspect’s flight, the risk that if at liberty he could hinder the investigation, conceal evidence and exert influence on witnesses or accomplices, as well as repeat the criminal offense or complete the initiated one.

The suspect is charged with, inter alia, being a member of an organized criminal group that communicated through protected applications, as a user of two Sky accounts, during 2020 and 2021; participating in arranging, handover, transfer, hiding and further distribution of large amounts of narcotic drugs speed, marijuana, cocaine and heroin, sometimes in quantities of several kilograms, intended for sale on the illegal drug market in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in smuggling and sale of narcotic drugs abroad.

The remand in custody is necessary because the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the case of Elvis Keljmendi et al., together with partner institutions and agencies from the countries of the region and the EU, is conducting an extensive investigation with the aim of identifying all members of an organized criminal group and documenting the numerous criminal offenses charged against them.

The custody motion was filed with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
