After questioning the suspect in the case codenamed Storage, who surrendered to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina after several months of absconding, the Assigned Prosecutor sent a detailed motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to remand in custody the suspect Predrag Petković, born in 1987.
Remand in custody was proposed for the reasons stipulated in Article 132, paragraph 1, points a), b) and c) of the CPC of BiH i.e. due to risk of the suspect’s flight, the risk that if at liberty he could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence and exert influence on witnesses or accomplices, as well as repeat the criminal offense or complete an initiated one.
The suspect is under investigation and is charged, inter alia, of being one of the organizers of a criminal group from the area of Gradiška and other places, communicating through the Sky and Anom applications, arranging and participating in serious forms of organized crime, illicit international trafficking and sale of large quantities of narcotic drugs and illicit trafficking of weapons and ammunition, as well as illegal transportation of migrants across the state border and theft of a motor vehicle, all with the aim of obtaining large amounts of unlawful property gain i.e. money, material goods or other forms of benefits, such as expensive vehicles and large number of real estates.The motion for custody was sent to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a hearing is expected to be scheduled pursuant to the prosecution motion.
