THE REMAINS OF A VICTIM FROM THE PAST WAR FOUND AT AN EXHUMATION IN BIJELJINA

 In the locality of Brčanska malta, in the local cemetery located in the area of Bijeljina, the process of exhumation of the remains of victims from the past war was carried out.

 An investigator from the Special Department coordinated activities on the orders of the assigned prosecutor for War Crimes out in the field, and the exhumation process was attended by a forensic pathologist, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of BiH, necessary workers and machinery, and police officers from the Bijeljina police station, who secured the location.

After the remains were found, they were forwarded to forensic processing in Tuzla in order to determine their identity through DNA analysis.
