ON CALL PROSECUTOR OF THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE ORDERED INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF PROCESSING THE CRIMINAL OFFENSE OF SMUGGLING OF MIGRANTS

 Acting within 24-hour on call duty, a Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH received information from a member of the Border Police of BiH that, in cooperation with members of the RS MoI, they discovered two BiH citizens attempting to smuggle 12 migrants of Afro-Asian origin, including four minor children, in the area of Zvornik.

Pursuant to the order of the Prosecutor on call duty, the police officers of the BiH Border Police will prepare a detailed report on the committed criminal offense, which will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for further processing.

 

The found illegal migrants who, according to evidence collected as well as their statements, come from the area of Burundi and Congo were handed over to members of the Service for Foreigners Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further processing.

 

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with partner police and security agencies, undertakes activities in prosecuting criminal offenses related to illegal migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina on almost daily basis.
