STRATEGIC FORUM OF PROSECUTORS AND POLICE AGENCIES HELD AT THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE ON FINAL ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE THE INTEGRITY AND LEGALITY OF THE 2022 ELECTIONS

Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, presided over an extraordinary meeting at the strategic level, where the Chief Prosecutors and Directors and Officials of police agencies, from the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both entities of the FBiH and RS, as well as Brčko District of BiH, discussed measures and activities which have been undertaken so far to ensure the legality of the electoral process in BiH.

The meeting participants analyzed and agreed on the activities carried out and undertaken so far, necessary for the elimination of security threats, coordination of actions in crisis situations, as well as the fulfillment of judicial and security prerequisites required for the successful implementation of elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes preventing illegalities, as well as sanctioning and prosecution of criminal offences related to the electoral process.

At the meeting, Chief Prosecutors and officials of police agencies also presented information on the activities undertaken with the aim of enabling the legality and security of the election process, from the very beginning until the end of the process and the final announcement of the election results.

During the meeting, intensive cooperation and communication between all institutions was agreed on the exchange of data and information and coordination of future activities, in order to successfully undertake all necessary measures and activities to protect the legality and security of the upcoming elections in 2022.
