The defendant Semir Trebinjac (1991) entered a guilty plea agreement, after which he was sentenced in the Court of BiH to a single sentence of one year in prison.
He was found guilty of the criminal offence of counterfeiting money defined in Article 205 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH, as read with Article 54 of the same Code, in conjunction with the criminal offence of false representation defined in Article 369 (1) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH.
The accused admitted his guilt that he, by using appropriate equipment, made a large number of counterfeit banknotes in the denominations of BAM 20, 50, 100 and 200, then put them into circulation in a planned manner, usually by arranging and paying for various goods via online classifieds, and coming to the agreed place dressed in clothes reminiscent of the uniform of police officers.
In accordance with the agreement, pursuant to Article 74 of the Criminal Code of BiH, the items and means used to commit the criminal offence will be confiscated from the accused, namely the equipment and material used for the production of counterfeit banknotes, clothing reminiscent of a police uniform, as well as certain quantity of counterfeit banknotes, and a cell phone with the corresponding SIM card.
After considering the agreement, the Court of BiH accepted the agreement and sentenced the accused.
