MOTION FOR REMAND IN CUSTODY FILED FOR 5 PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ORGANIZED CRIME AND ILLICIT DRUG TRAFFICKING

The measure of remand in custody was requested due to the risk of flight of the suspects, the risk that they could hinder the investigation, conceal evidence and exert influence on witnesses or accomplices if they were to remain free, as well as repeat the criminal offense or complete the initiated.

The suspects are charged with organized crime, in conjunction with trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, money laundering, preparation of a criminal offense related to murder, as well as other criminal offenses committed in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, including overseas countries.

The motion for remand in custody was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a hearing is expected to be scheduled per prosecution motion.
