SUSPECTS IN THE OPERATION CODENAMED “REZ” TO BE HANDED OVER TO THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE DURING THE DAY

The prosecutor in charge will interview the suspects, after which he will make a decision on a proposal of custody and prohibition measures and other activities in the case.

Several suspects, who are under investigation for criminal offences of organised crime in connection with international smuggling and illicit trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, as well as other criminal offences were deprived of their freedom within the operation codenamed “Rez” /Cut/.

According to the collected evidence, in the case in which significant international cooperation was achieved, the suspects acted as an organised criminal group with divided roles and tasks, which smuggled and sold large quantities of narcotic drugs on the illegal drug market of Sarajevo and other cities over a long period of time.

Also, the flows of money acquired through illegal activities, as well as the forms of corruption activities of the suspects, are being investigated within the investigation.

After interviewing the suspects, the prosecutor in charge will decide on further steps and the continuation of the investigation in this case.
