MOTION TO EXTEND CUSTODY FOR SEVEN SUSPECTS WITHIN THE OPERATION CODENAMED “IRA”

A prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption sent a motion to the Court of BiH to extend custody measure in the Željko Radovanović et al. case.

The case is related to an operation codenamed “IRA” in which several persons suspected of organised international crime in connection with the smuggling of large quantities of narcotic drugs, money laundering and other criminal offences were deprived of their freedom.

This case pertains to the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and partner police and security agencies in BiH, in which significant international cooperation has been achieved. Activities related to gathering evidence and examining witnesses are underway, with the aim of making a prosecutorial decision.

A session of the Court of BiH at which the motionl of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will be considered will be held today.
