A prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH working on the case, after questioning all the suspects, sent a motion to the Court of BiH to order the following five suspects into custody:
1. Miloš Nikolić, born in 1993 in Sokolac, employee of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DKPT) of BiH
2. Jasmina Hodo, born in 1996 in Sarajevo
3. Dalibor Lugonja, born in 1980 in Sarajevo
4. Ehvad Kajani, born in 1995 in Sarajevo
5. Haris Osmić, born in 1992 in Split, Republic of Croatia
The above-mentioned suspects are under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and SIPA and are suspected of acting as an organised criminal group with the aim of smuggling and placing larger quantities of “Speed” drugs on the illegal drug market in BiH in order to acquire significant illegal gain.
In an extensive operation carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the police, the suspects were discovered, located and deprived of their freedom, after which they were brought to the prosecutor in charge and questioned in the presence of their defence counsel.
The custody measure was moved to ensure the smooth conducting of the investigation, because of the risk of flight of some of the suspects, and to prevent the suspects from obstructing the investigation, concealing evidence and influencing witnesses or accomplices, as well as from repeating the crime or completing the one that has been initiated.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, together with partner police institutions and agencies, is continuing the investigation with the aim of fully clarifying and documenting the illegal activities of the suspects and the commission of criminal offences in this case.
