MEETING HELD BETWEEN ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR AND DIRECTOR OF THE FORENSIC EXAMINATION AND EXPERTISE AGENCY OF BIH

Milanko Kajganić, Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, held a working meeting with Radiša Samardžija, Director of the Agency for Forensic Investigations and Expertise of BiH.

The meeting discussed cooperation between the two institutions in the field of execution of requests for expert analyses carried out by the AFIV BiH within the cases in which the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH acts.

It was pointed out that last year, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the Agency carried out dozens of different expert analyses, most often expert analyses in the field of computer and information systems and devices, as well as certain graphological expert analyses.

The meeting also discussed the plan of activities of the AFIV BiH to engage in the field of forensic analysis of mortal remains and bone samples, including DNA analyses, which is an area of great importance for the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, especially in cases of the Special Department for War Crimes. The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH expressed its support to such activities.

The joint conclusion of the meeting is that even more intensive cooperation will continue this year.
