A Prosecutor from the Section for Combating Human Trafficking and Illegal Migrations of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina coordinated the work and activities of police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all in relation to the locating and arresting the suspects of the criminal offence of International Human Trafficking, and providing protection to the victims.
This is a very sensitive case in which the identified victims are minors coming from the migrant population, who reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina and who are particularly vulnerable due to the situation in which they find themselves; accordingly, pursuant to the instructions given by the Prosecutor in charge of this case, they have been placed in adequate facilities that offer protection to the victims, so that proper protection will be provided for them.
The suspected perpetrators are also from the migrant population residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After conducting investigative actions and questioning the suspects, the Prosecutor in charge of this case will make a decision on further activities regarding the suspects.
The investigation is continuing intensively, with the aim of determining all the circumstances surrounding the commission of this serious criminal offence related to human trafficking.
