MORTAL REMAINS OF ONE PERSON FOUND DURING EXHUMATION ON MOUNT OZREN, SUPERVISED BY BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

The exhumation is being carried out at the Hajdarevići - Davulije site, in the Zavidovići municipality, and the exhumation process is supervised by a Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes and coordinated by an Investigator from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the exhumation, incomplete mortal remains of one person have been found, which will be sent for further forensic processing and identification via the DNA analysis. The exhumation is being carried out at an extremely inaccessible site, which had previously been demined.

The activities have been carried out in joint cooperation of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SIPA, and representatives of the Missing Persons’ Institute (MPI) of Bosnia and Herzegovina also participate in the exhumation process.

The search for mortal remains continues at the Stog site, also in the Zavidovići municipality.
