OPERATION AGAINST ORGANIZED CRIME RELATED TO THEFTS OF MOTOR VEHICLES CARRIED OUT BY ORDER OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

Several persons have been deprived of liberty in the course of these activities, including a multiple returnee in the commission of criminal offenses of organized crime and car theft.

Acting on an order issued by a Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior and officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior and Tuzla Canton Ministry of the Interior have carried out these field activities which resulted in the deprivation of liberty of suspected persons, as well as in searches at several locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the course of this operation, several expensive motor vehicles, which had been stolen in the past period, have been found and seized.

During the day, the suspects will be brought before the Prosecutor in charge of this case, who will question them and subsequently make a decision regarding the submission of a motion to order custody and further activities in the case.
