A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- LJILJANA ŠKIPINA, born in 1966 in Brčko, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This accused person is charged with illegally putting into circulation a larger quantity of excise goods - cigarettes, on 08 February this year, which were not marked with control and excise stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Having procured various brands of cigarettes and non-factory made cigarettes, she was putting them into circulation and selling them in the area of Pale, and thus she acquired unlawful material gain and incurred damage to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens, as she was placing on the market tobacco products that did not satisfy the prescribed standard of quality control and correctness, and for which she did not have any documentation.
During the search of a house and its auxiliary premises, 1,239 packs of cigarettes of various types and brands were found and seized, along with 180 kilograms of the cut tobacco, in the total amount of BAM 40,917.78.
The aforementioned accused person is charged with having committed the criminal offense of Illicit Trade in Excise Products, referred to in Article 210a, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
