The video-conference meeting, attended by officials from more than 20 countries, is being organized by TAIEX and it pertains to prosecutors’ co-operation in the fight against terrorism and cybercrime, as well as environmental crimes.
The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, and her Deputies and Heads of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, Ozrenka Nešković and Ismet Šuškić, are participating in a two-day workshop held within the TAIEX international mechanism.
The meeting is attended by representatives of prosecutors’ offices from more than 20 countries, including the EU and the Western Balkans countries and representatives of the European Commission, European Union, European Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as EUROJUST, EUROPOL and other law enforcement agencies.
The meeting was addressed by Mr Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, as well as by senior officials of the European Union.
The central topics of the workshop will be cross-border and international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime, terrorism, as well as environmental crimes.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption are working on several cases that involve cross-border and international cooperation with partner institutions from the region, as well as from the European Union and the world, in the fight against serious forms of crime.
