A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- ASIM MORIĆ, born in 1995 in Mostar, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This accused person is charged that, in October and November of 2019, he committed five criminal acts in the area of Mostar by obtaining five counterfeit banknotes in the denomination of HRK 500, which he knew to be counterfeit, and by putting them into circulation as real, in a well-planned manner, thus causing damage to the workers.
The accused was putting the counterfeit banknotes on the market, most often by paying individually for goods at points of sale.
The aforementioned accused is also charged that, on 01 June 2021, having previously obtained 40 counterfeit banknotes in the denomination of BAM 50, he attempted to put one counterfeit banknote on the market while he was paying the bill for goods in a grocery store in the municipality of Odžak, but he failed in doing so because the saleswoman suspected that the banknote was incorrect and she called the police.
This accused person is charged with having committed the continued criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money, referred to in Article 205, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 54 of the same Code, as well as the criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money, referred to in Article 205, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 26 of the same Code.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
