The accused is charged with smuggling of an underage person from Pakistan, from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards the Republic of Croatia, in order to acquire unlawful material gain.
A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- Ismar Muhić, born in 1995 in Bihać, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This accused person is charged with making contact with an illegal underage migrant from the territory of Pakistan who did not possess the documents necessary for a legal entry and stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the area of Bihać, all in order to acquire unlawful material gain.
Thereafter, the accused transported the underage migrant towards the border with the Republic of Croatia for the agreed amount of money. The intention was to cross the Una River and enter the territory of Croatia and the European Union illegally, but he was detected while attempting to do so and he was prevented by a police patrol.
The aforementioned accused is charged with enabling the unlawful stay of a smuggled person under the age of eighteen on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina by providing transport for that person, whereby he committed the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons, referred to in Article 189, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
