ON ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, AN OPERATION CODENAMED “ARGENTINA” CARRIED OUT WITHIN THE FIGHT AGAINST ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS

This is an investigation that was carried out with the aim of combating the illicit international trafficking of the narcotic drug “cocaine”.

Acting on the order of a prosecutor from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, police officers of the RS Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Interior, carried out activities in the early morning hours today to find and deprive of freedom seven people suspected of smuggling the narcotic drug “cocaine” from the territory of the EU to the territory of BiH and then further distributing it in the territory of BiH.

During the search, a certain amount of drugs was found, as well as evidence of the commission of a criminal offence.

The suspects will be handed over to the case prosecutor within the legal deadline, who will interview the suspects and then make a decision on further activities regarding the suspects.

This operation is the result of good and coordinated cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the RS Ministry of Interior and the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Interior, with the aim of prosecuting persons suspected of serious crimes that violate the security situation and the security of BiH citizens.
