A prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Blagoje Šuković, born in 1995 in Trebinje, a citizen of BiH.
According to the indictment, the accused is charged with illegally obtaining and attempting to place on the market a large quantity of excise goods - cigarettes, which were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the indictment, on 13 August last year, the accused transported the said cigarettes in a passenger motor vehicle with the aim to further sell them in the territory of BiH. In order to avoid regular control, he started fleeing away, but was prevented in that by police officers of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Ministry of Interior who caught him.
During the search of the vehicle, a total of 4380 boxes of cigarettes of different types and brands, the total value of which is BAM 24,684 KM, were found and seized.
The accused is charged with having committed the criminal offence of Illicit Trade in Excise Products under Article 210a of the Criminal Code of BiH, in conjunction with Article 26 of the same Code.
The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
