ALLEGATIONS OF CERTAIN PORTALS ABOUT THE ALLEGED PRESENCE OF MEMBERS OF THE RS MOI AND THE SWEEP OF PREMISES OF THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR ARE ABSOLUTELY FALSE

 Following the publishing of absolutely inaccurate and untrue information on the portals www.politicki.ba and http://www.slobodna-bosna.ba, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issues the following statement to the public and the media.

 -It is absolutely untrue that members of the RS Ministry of the Interior were present in the premises of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH on 12 March and performed any security or other sweeps.

The entrance and access to the building and capacities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Office of the Chief Prosecutor are secured with limited and recorded access.

These untrue allegations probably originate from centers close to certain political options whose senior officials are being tried or prosecuted in the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, and represent another in a series of pressures exerted on the Chief Prosecutor, Prosecutors and employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Regardless of all pressure, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will continue its work in accordance with the law and in the interest of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Such inappropriate pressure will not stop us from prosecuting illegalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
