The accused authorized police officer of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina is sentenced in the first instance to one (1) year and four (4) months in prison, as well as to a prohibition from performing his official duties for a period of three (3) years after serving the sentence.
A Prosecutor of the Department III of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued and represented the Indictment in the case against the accused Đorđe Bogdanović, a police officer of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is charged with the criminal offense of corruption.
The accused is charged with unlawfully accepting a gift in the form of money from a Japanese citizen traveling from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia, while he was performing his official duties of a border police officer at the border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, as he threatened the aforementioned person that proceedings would be initiated against her due to the alleged irregularities related to the registration of her residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which the injured party was not obliged to do.
After receiving a written copy of the Judgment, the Prosecutor in charge of this case will make a decision on filing an appeal against the Judgment.
