INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE PRODUCTS

A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person:

- VLADAN ANĐIĆ, born in 1985 in Sarajevo, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina

This accused person is charged with transporting 2,500 boxes of various types and brands of cigarettes that were not marked with the prescribed tax and excise stamps required by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while he was driving a motor vehicle in August last year.

He was detected in the commission of the said criminal offence during the regular control of the traffic police.

The accused had previously illegally procured the cigarettes from a person known to him, with the intention of selling these excise goods further to customers known to him.

The accused is charged with the commission of the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Excise Products, referred to in Article 210a, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Articles 26 and 29 of the same Code.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
