ON ORDER OF PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, SEARCHES CARRIED OUT IN SARAJEVO CANTON

Searches are being carried out as part of the case for organised crime and obstruction of investigation into the death of Dženan Memić in February 2016.

On the order of a prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, are carrying out searches at two locations in the Sarajevo Canton with the aim of gathering evidence.

The activities are being carried out within the case on which the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has been working for a longer period of time, and refers to criminal offences of organised crime, in connection with obstructing the investigation and concealing evidence of Dženan Memić’s death in February 2016.

One of the persons whose premises are being searched is an official in the institutions of the Sarajevo Canton.

In the interest of the investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH cannot provide the public with more details or information.
