The position of women as victims and injured parties in war crimes cases was discussed at the meeting.
At the request of the Association, the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Gordana Tadić, received a visit of the representatives of the "Woman-War Victim" Association, with whom she discussed the rights and position of injured persons and victims in criminal prosecution cases, particularly in war crimes cases with elements of sexual violence.
In addition, the Association’s President, Ms. Bakira Hasečić, expressed her dissatisfaction with inappropriate speech and appearance in the media, directed towards the female population, and she pointed out that she had submitted a report to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Milorad Dodik, regarding the statements and comments directed towards the member of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Vanja Bjelica-Prutina.
The said report was received at the Prosecutor’s Office and forwarded to the assigned Prosecutor, who will examine all the circumstances stated in the report.
