At the Greda site in the Sanski Most municipality, an exhumation process has commenced and mortal remains of two persons have been found. The exhumation will continue, as it is presumed that more remains are to be found at the aforementioned location.
On orders of a Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, an Investigator of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is present at the Greda site in Sanski Most, coordinating the process of exhumation and search for missing persons.
So far, mortal remains of two persons have been found. It is presumed that these mortal remains belong to victims of Serb ethnicity, who had gone missing in the fall of 1995.
According to initial information, more mortal remains of persons missing from the fall of 1995 could be found at this site.
The Investigator of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is coordinating the work and the activities of authorized persons participating in the exhumation process. A forensic doctor and the representatives of the Missing Persons’ Institute (BiH MPI) are also present at the site, together with the police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Una-Sana Canton, who are securing the location, and the necessary workers and machinery.
The exhumation will continue in the period to follow.
