The accused Marko Danilović (1999) from Herceg Novi is charged with smuggling about 55 kilos of the narcotic drug marijuana - ‘skunk’ from the territory of Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina with an intention to smuggle it further to the Republic of Croatia, but was detected and prevented to do that and the narcotic drug was seized.
A prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has filed an indictment against:
- Marko Danilović, born in 1999 in Kotor, residing in Herceg Novi, citizen of Montenegro.
The accused is charged that for the purpose of acquiring unlawful property gain, he transported 50 packages of the narcotic drug marijuana weighing 55.402 kilos in total in a specially made compartment in a freight truck with Montenegrin licence plates he operated.
The accused smuggled the said narcotic drug into Bosnia and Herzegovina on 25 July this year and intended to smuggle it further to the Republic of Croatia and into the EU territory, but was detected and prevented to do that by members of the BiH Border Police, at the Gradiška border crossing.
The seized amount of the narcotic drug on the illegal drug market of EU countries reaches the price of hundreds of thousands of Euros.
The Accused is in custody and is charged with the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
