WITHIN BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION, SIPA CARRIES OUT SEARCHES IN SANSKI MOST MUNICIPALITY

Activities are aimed at detecting and prosecuting the criminal offences of electoral fraud committed during the 2018 general elections.

Acting on the order of a prosecutor from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption and upon an order of the Court of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, with the assistance of the police of the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Interior, searched buildings and premises in Sanski Most, used by the three suspects.

During the search, certain evidence and documentation were seized.

The activities were carried out within the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH against persons suspected of having committed the criminal offence of election fraud during the 2018 general elections, in violation of Article 154 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

They are suspected that they, as members of electoral bodies, using data from deceased persons, as well as using votes for persons who did not go to the polls, voted illegally in order to obtain as many votes as possible for certain candidates from the area of Sanski Most.

After being brought before the case prosecutor, the prosecutor will examine the suspects and decide on further activities in the case.
