Central topics of the meeting pertained to the work and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina on war crimes cases.
Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, and deputies and officials of the Special Department for War Crimes have held a video meeting with Ms. Ivalia Livieva from Sofia, who is implementing Phase III of the War Crimes Monitoring Project. Ms. Livieva has been engaged by the European Commission to monitor the analyses of the OSCE Mission’s work on war crimes cases.
The Chief Prosecutor has informed her interlocutor about the internal structure of the Special Department for War Crimes, the number of employees, its internal organization, as well as about the work on cases and the results achieved.
The Chief Prosecutor has noted that the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has good cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in terms of developing an archive of evidence, developing guidelines for facilitating and improving work on war crimes cases, organizing professional training and other useful activities in war crimes cases, and that she hopes that the successful cooperation and support of the OSCE mission will continue in the future.
