EXHUMATION COMPLETED IN BRATUNAC MUNICIPALITY

At the site of Kameničko Brdo and Pobuđe, Bratunac municipality, the process of exhumation/sanitation was carried out at two separate micro-locations and incomplete mortal remains of at least two persons were found. The identity of the victims whose remains were found will be established in a subsequent process.

The exhumation process was overseen and coordinated by an investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. The remains were transferred to the Tuzla Commemorative Centre for further forensic processing and identification of the victims whose remains were found.

Officers of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH, a doctor specializing in forensic medicine, necessary workers of the Tuzla Commemorative Centre, as well as police officers from the PS Bratunac and PU Zvornik took part in the exhumation process.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, together with the institutions involved in the process of searching for and identifying missing persons, continues with its intensive activities in the search for missing persons in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
