The main topics for discussion at the meeting were related to the situation regarding the return of BiH citizens from foreign battlefields, as well as the security challenges associated with the influx of illegal migrants into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Gordana Tadić, convened a meeting of the Counter Terrorism Task Force and Task Force Combating Trafficking in Persons and Organized Illegal Immigration.
This is the first time that a joint meeting of the two task forces has been held, and the reason is the current situation related to the return of BiH citizens from foreign battlefields, as well as the security and humanitarian situation in BiH, related to the stay of large number of illegal migrants in our country.
It was concluded that intensive work should continue, within the competence of institutions and agencies, and that the cooperation of all institutions should continue and enhance in order to improve the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting was attended by more than 30 participants, including Heads, Directors and Senior Officials of judicial institutions, as well as law enforcement agencies from the level of BiH, both Entities and the Brčko District of BiH, with the common goal of agreeing and coordinating further activities in these areas.
Representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions in BiH also attended the meeting.
