A one-year prison sentence, confiscation of unlawful material gain amounting to € 3,500 and a ban on performing official duties for a period of five years are proposed.

ACCUSED DARKO MARČETIĆ (1974) ENTERED INTO PLEA AGREEMENT ADMITTING GUILT

The accused inspector from the SIPA Regional Office in Banja Luka, Darko Marčetić (1974), has fully agreed to plead guilty to the criminal offences he is charged with under the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

The accused pleaded guilty to a corruptive criminal offences of abuse of office or authority in violation of Article 220 of the Criminal Code of BiH, extortion in violation of Article 295 of the Criminal Code of FBiH and unauthorised use of personal data in violation of Article 149 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Pursuant to the plea agreement, a one-year prison sentence, confiscation of the unlawful material gain amounting to € 3,500 euros, as well as a ban on performing his official duties for a period of five years were proposed.

By entering into the plea agreement, the Accused fully admitted guilt and waived his rights to trial and to a judgment the Court of BiH is to render based on the agreement.

The accused is charged that he, as a SIPA inspector, got in contact with persons from the Ključ area in the course of the previous year and extorted money from them assuring them that he would use his position and act in their favour in certain procedures, as well as that he would protect them against alleged investigations.
