Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić presented on the efforts of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office on prosecution of war crimes for reconciliation and peacebuilding in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office spoke within the framework of the SDG 16+ conference organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) BiH dedicated to justice for sustaining peace, at the thematic session 1 - Justice as Prevention, along with other officials working within the field of rule of law, non-governmental sector and human rights from around the world.
The Chief Prosecutor Tadić spoke about the efforts of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in establishing and preserving the rule of law, prosecuting perpetrators of war crimes and serious violations of international humanitarian law, as well as about the importance of these proceedings for sustaining peace, peace building and the process of reconciliation.
The conference was attended by senior officials from the UNDP Headquarters in New York and the Istanbul Regional Hub, as well as representatives of the non-governmental sector, and institutions and agencies from 15 countries from around the world.
