CUSTODY PROPOSED AGAINST SUSPECT RAMIZ DREKOVIĆ (1956)

Having questioned the suspect, the Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in charge of the case put forward a Motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina seeking that the measure of custody be ordered against the suspect Ramiz Dreković.

Custody has been proposed for the reasons set forth in Article 132, item b) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely, due to the danger that, if at large, the suspect might hinder the inquiry, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accessories. 

The suspect Dreković is under investigation due to the commission of the criminal offence of War Crimes against Civilians.    

The Motion for Custody has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
