The accused is charged with the criminal offence of War Crimes against Civilians, which was committed against victims of Bosniak ethnicity, in 1992, while the accused was member of the paramilitary formation ‘White Eagles’ and then of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS).
Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- Predrag Lažetić, born on 16 January 1965 in Gacko.
The accused is charged with acting in violation of the provisions of the Geneva Conventions relative to the protection of civilian persons in time of war, during the war and armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while he was a member of the paramilitary formation ‘White Eagles’ and later of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), as well as with the commission of the war crime against Bosniak victims in the area of Gacko, in June of 1992.
He is accused of torturing, abusing, inflicting injuries on and treating inhumanely eleven (11) persons of Bosniak ethnicity, who were illegally detained in the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing facilities in the Thermal Power Plant in Gacko.
The accused is charged with the commission of the criminal offence of War Crimes against Civilians.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
